ACORN CONFERS THE STATUS OF 'FELLOW' TO MEMBERS THAT MEET DESIGNATED CRITERIA. Fellowship of the College is a prestigious category of membership that is reserved for those members that have made a significant contribution to the goals of the College. To gain the status of 'Fellow' a member has made a significant contribution to perioperative nursing and or demonstrated professional excellence within this field, or within the wider profession of nursing. The post nominal FACORN provides recognition of the Fellow's professional activities to other nurses and associated professionals. There is an application fee for this membership category as well as an annual fee. The annual fees form the Fellows Fund for ACORN scholarships and research grants for nurses.
