Corporate partners

The Australian College of Perioperative Nurses (ACORN) is Australia’s peak body of perioperative nursing and the largest specialty nursing college. ACORN provides funds for research, professional development, patient safety resources and publication of professional and clinical standards for practice, The New ACORN Standards. 

Corporate support can help ACORN achieve its mission to advance safe, quality perioperative nursing care for Australians and make a difference in the lives of perioperative nurses today and in generations to come. 

ACORN is a deductible gift recipient (DGR) charity endorsed by the Australian Tax Office. This means that corporate gifts and contributions can be tax-deductible. 

Corporate partnership is designed to closely align ACORN with the health industry and ACORN's health partners who continually support the organisation through their attendance at state and national conferences and sponsorship of perioperative nursing education.

Benefits of corporate partnership

  • Ad hoc meetings with ACORN’s Chief Executive Officer, Education Officer and Clinical Excellence Coordinator to discuss mutually beneficial opportunities.
  • Complimentary access to The New ACORN Standards for Organisations.
  • Inclusion on distribution lists of e-blasts, as appropriate, and monthly e-newsletter, The Oak.
  • Sponsorship of one online education event per year – including benefits 1–10 as outlined under Sponsorship on page 6 (valued at $5000 including GST) for Gold partners; and including benefits 1–6 (valued at $3000 including GST) for Silver sponsors. ACORN will remind corporate partners of this benefit, and the number of opportunities available, once a quarter. It is the partner’s responsibility to realise the benefit. In the absence of a response to ACORN’s reminder the partner will forego the opportunity for that period.
  • Promotion as a corporate partner (e.g. company logo on relevant educational material and ACORN website).
  • Entitlement to use the specific ACORN corporate partner logo on your website, as approved by ACORN.
  • Early access to sponsorship opportunities (e.g. face-to-face and online education events, Perioperative Nurses Week, PeriAnaesthesia Week).
  • Two advertisements on ACORN social media outlets per year (valued at $1200 including GST).
  • One advertisement in The Oak per year (valued at $700–$1200 including GST). See pages 8 and 9 for details.
  • Early access to exhibition opportunities and sponsorship opportunities at ACORN conferences.
  • Invitation to participate in ACORN special interest groups.
  • Access to exclusive advertising opportunities.
  • Opportunity to be invited onto working groups and leverage expertise on how your products and services align with the ACORN Standards.
  • Opportunity to provide input about how your products and services align with ACORN courses.
