Presenter: Sarah Sisson, Nurse Unit Manager, Auburn Hospital
Sarah has been a perioperative nurse for over 20 years. In that time Sarah has worked in both in the public and private sector including tertiary hospitals in Scrub and Scout as well as Anaesthetics and PARU. Sarah has over 15 years’ experience as a Perioperative Nurse Educator both as a Clinical Nurse Educator and Nurse Educator. 
Sarah has completed a Graduate Diploma in Critical Care (Majoring in Perioperative Nursing) through UTS and a master’s in professional studies (Majoring in Adult Education) though UTS. Sarah has completed various certificates for Vocational education, as well as a Certificate in Definitive Perioperative Trauma in 2006.
Sarah developed and implemented the EN scrub nurse role at the Sydney Adventist Hospital in 2001; Developed and implemented the Perioperative Nurse 12 month training program at Royal North Shore Hospital; taught the Certificate IV in Perioperative Nursing at NSW TAFE and has been a lecturer and facilitator at the University of Sydney for the Bachelor and Master of Nursing programs.
Sarah currently works as the Nursing Unit Manager at Auburn Hospital Operating Theatre.
