Please join Associate Professor Rosemary Nixon from Skin Health Institute as she explores skincare concerns that may have arisen during the COVID-19 pandemic, including rashes related to masks and hand dermatitis.
Topics include:
- contact dermatitis in health care workers and the impact of COVID-19
- problems with PPE – gloves and masks
- practices to minimise and manage occupational dermatitis.
About the speaker
Associate Professor Rosemary Nixon AM is the Director of the Occupational Dermatology Research and Education Centre (ODREC) at the Skin Health Institute in Melbourne and is the only person to have attained Australian specialist qualifications in both dermatology and occupational medicine. Assoc. Prof. Nixon runs monthly patch testing clinics which focus on occupational cases of contact dermatitis, performs research and supervises several research fellows. She is also a member of the prestigious committee, the International Contact Dermatitis Research Group.
