View The ACORN Standards 2026
Access to The ACORN Standards 2026 is available exclusively to current members of the Australian College of Perioperative Nurses. To become an ACORN member, you must hold membership with your local state or territory perioperative nursing association.
Alternatively, organisations can provide access for their teams through an organisational subscription, supporting staff with access to the latest evidence-based perioperative standards, guidance, and implementation resources.
Recommended technical requirements
The ACORN Standards 2026 require an internet connection and one of the following web browsers:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0 or higher
- Mozilla Firefox
- Google Chrome
- Apple Safari
The ACORN Standards 2026 are also compatible with Android and iOS smartphones and mobile devices.
View 16th edition ACORN Standards (still valid)
The ACORN Standards 2026 have superseded the 16th edition of Standards for Perioperative Nursing in Australia.
However, there are some standards from the 16th edition which are yet to be updated due to ongoing work in organisations outside of ACORN.
